Hello, I'm Karl, a designer with an edge of digital product design, UI/UX, and interaction design.

 

I design, photograph, draw and write.

My past experiences include working as a User Experience Designer at JP Morgan & Chase, UI Designer for Twiage (EMS/Medical), UX/UI Designer for Zelis Healthcare and as a freelance designer for 4 years. I hold a BS in Health Sciences from Long Island University Brooklyn, UX Design and Project Management Certification from Google.

I am proficient in industry-standard tools like Figma, Adobe XD, Jira, and more. I have a working knowledge of other UX/UI tools such as Canva, Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom, Miro, Mural, Sketch, and more.

I believe in the power of design in technology, helping create a smooth interaction and delightful experience between human and products, pragmatically solving complex problems with tactical solutions, and bringing a conceptual idea to reality. I enjoy the process and the sense of achievement of contribution to the course of humanity it gives me. It makes me feel alive.

As a Lead UI Designer, I create, socialize and implement design patterns and digital UI/UX/Visual standards, working with Dev to "codify" design components, monitoring industry trends and competitive trends, and establishing governance over design practices across all ManpowerGroup domains.

Developed user interfaces for a healthcare technology platform, specializing in real-time communication between emergency medical professionals and hospitals during patient transportation.
